VIA Rail

VIA Rail was looking to strengthen its relationship with young Canadians through the development of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. VIA Rail’s focus was on creating a program that was national in scope and made a meaningful impact. DECODE was engaged to help set the parameters for this ambitious project, to use research and creative thinking methodologies to identify relevant causes and activities. As a result of focus groups, online dialogues and DECODE’s Insight Engine processes, and DECODE’s ongong stewardship, VIA Rail’s Enviro Expo was launched across Canada in 2008. This national competition gave awards to high school science projects that combine art and science to improve the environment.
